Last week, researchers from more than 20 chairs and professorships came together and did a journey through the additive manufacturing landscape at TUM – from printed neuroelectrons to simulation and manufacturing with Powder Bed Fusion to printed houses and facades and an electrive drive for the aviation industry. Prof. Peter Mayr (Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing) will present the project DISCO2023 at the expert forum EinDruck3 of Bayern Innovativ. Last week, the certificate program "Additive Manufacturing Processes at a Glance" of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning ended. To round the 21-week course off, the participants visited the company fit AG, which covers many different additive manufacturing processes. Thus, all theoretically learned processes could be experienced live and in action. [read more]

Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences is organizing the European 3D Printing Challenge in 2023 together with the Technical University of Munich and with the support of renowned prize sponsors from industry. The application phase runs from March 15 to May 31, 2023, and is looking for creative and innovative 3D printing projects that could potentially also lead to a start-up idea. [read more]
