Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of visiting Rapid.Tech 3D, where innovation and technology converge to push boundaries in additive manufacturing! We were thrilled to witness the remarkable advancements showcased at the 3D Pioneers Challenge. Huge congratulations to FIDENTIS for their win in the Medtech category!

A new era for AM-powered innovation: Join us on July 4th in Munich for an exciting event featuring TUM Venture Labs, TUM.Additive, and Nano Dimension! These labs are at the forefront of fostering tech-based business creation, spanning engineering, natural and life sciences, data sciences, and medicine.

Join us for the next edition of our AMeetUp, discover the latest innovations in additive manufacturing, and learn more about what you can create with 3D printing and network with other innovators, experts, and entrepreneurs in AM! This time we will focus on AM in construction!

Last week, a significant milestone was achieved in additive manufacturing as JEOL's first Electron Beam Melting machine in Europe was proudly inaugurated right here at the Technical University of Munich! The event was filled with insightful presentations from industry leaders including Tekna, JEOL Ltd., FIT Additive Manufacturing Group, and MT Aerospace AG, offering a glimpse into the future of…

For the third time, over 40 PhD students of four different schools and eight different departments of Technische Universität München came together to hear about various topics in the field of additive manufacturing. The interdisciplinary pitches covered multi-scale simulation, modeling across scales, mechanical recycling, microfluidic droplet templated cultures, and copper-tungsten composites.

Last week, the TUM Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing hosted the fourth meeting of the "Academic Network Munich for Additive Manufacturing". Many thanks to all participants and for the good cooperation with the chairs of Prof. Christian Seidel, Prof. Katrin Wudy, Prof. Peter Mayr, Prof. Eric Jägle, Prof. Jan Torgersen and the AM team of Fraunhofer IGCV.

14 schoolgirls from all over Bavaria spent two days with TUM.Additive and the Professorship of Laser-based Additive Manufacturing to learn about 3D printing. Together we designed, sliced and printed individual puzzles to take home.

The third TUM.Additive PhD Seminar is scheduled for April 16, 2024! There will again be short scientific talks from various areas in the field of additive manufacturing – from simulation to different materials and manufacturing methods to post-processing.

Exactly one week ago, we had an exciting day at EinDruck³ - an additive manufacturing forum organized by Bayern Innovativ GmbH (Koordinierungsstelle Additive Fertigung)! We spent a whole day in Fürth discussing the latest news from the world of 3D printing.

What a start for the AMeetUp series in 2024! The following presentations contributed to the evening's central theme of the sixth edition of the AMeetUps. Matthias Weisskopf from OECHSLER contrasted mass production and prototyping and pointed out that we need good applications for additive manufacturing.
