STEM experience at the university for summer 2024
Creative with 3D printing: jewelry from the printer
TUM School of Engineering and Design, Chair of Carbon Composites
In the "Jewelry workshop" you will be shown how to make your own jewelry with 3D printing. To do this, you will first design your own jewelry box and beads for your new bracelet. You will learn how to transfer your ideas into a computer program exactly as you have designed them. As soon as everything fits, we'll start 3D printing the jewelry box and beads together. And once the printer has done its job, all that's left to do is put everything together and enjoy the result!

Creative with 3D printing: Your house from the printer
TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology, Assistant Professorship of Learning Sciences and Educational Design Technologies
In this workshop, you will learn how 3D printing is used in the construction of buildings. You will learn about different materials, design processes and 3D printing techniques such as clay printing. Equipped with this knowledge, you will then get to do it yourself: You design your own project and print it out - initially using clay tools such as modeling sticks that you may know from home or school. You then hand this task over to the 3D printing robot arm. Can it do it as well as you?

3D-Printing Lab: Design your own Puzzle!
TUM School of Engineering and Design, Professorship of Laser-based Additive Manufacturing
In this course, you will learn how to design your own 3D puzzle and produce it in a short time using 3D printing. To make a cool puzzle, all you need is a little creativity, some manual dexterity and 3-dimensional imagination. First, you'll learn how to use CAD software to design your puzzle. Then we will use slicing programs to slice your puzzle into layers and prepare it for printing. By the end of the course, you'll be able to 3D print your customized puzzle to take home. And while your puzzle is printing, we will look at different 3D printing processes live.
