Additive Manufacturing Course at TUM Asia

At Technical University of Munich (TUM) Asia we hold a two week course about additive manufacturing. Besides lectures of Professor Peter Mayr of the TUM Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing, the students gained deeper insights at special events.

Professor Paulo Bartolo invited the students to a laboratory tour through the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Before that, Prof. Peter Mayr gave a guest lecture about material aspects in the additive manufacturing of metallic structures. Linhan Wu of Hyperganic introduced to students to design for additive manufacturing and their physics-driven algorithmic engineering software. The illustrative pieces he brought with him helped the students to understand the topic even better. Nick Loth of the TUM Venture Lab Additive Manufacturing talked in his guest lecture about the new ideas of start-ups and how additive manufacturing can shape the future.
