End of Certification Program "Additive Manufacturing Processes at a Glance"

Last week, the certificate program "Additive Manufacturing Processes at a Glance" of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning ended. To round the 21-week course off, the participants visited the company fit AG, which covers many different additive manufacturing processes. Thus, all theoretically learned processes could be experienced live and in action.

The participants completed one of the two specialisations (construction and mechanical engineering) with a presentation on their own use case - for example, a printed facade for the right climate around the house or the printing of a cam belt pinion on-demand. Thanks to all the chairs for their input (Professorship of Laser-based Additive Manufacturing, Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing, Chair of Timber Structures and Building Construction, Chair of Materials Science and Testing in Construction, and the Institut for Machine Tools and Industrial Management)!
