Together for Circular Economy: Recap of the CirculaTUM Network Meeting 2024

Aktuelles |

CirculaTUM brings together experts across various disciplines and locations to contribute to the Circular Economy. This year's network meeting held on 26.02.24, focused on continuing the dialogue, presenting new projects, introducing new members, and fostering new connections.

Impressions from the group workshops: (from left) Claudia Geitner, Ottavia Aleo, Professor Fottner, Lucia Vargas, Merve Emir, Robert Burkhardt, and Niclas Mauß in discussion.

We are happy about with the continual growth of our network and the collaboratively planned activities for 2024.

The consortium meeting began with a summary of key moments for CirculaTUM in 2023 and the presentation of ongoing research projects by our members. Providing all participants with a comprehensive insight into circular research and activities at TUM lays the groundwork for inspiration and stimulates discussions on common interfaces and new projects.

Given the typically slow product life cycles, strategies for addressing current and future challenges and waste streams in existing and future research that go beyond integrating circular design approaches for new technologies were discussed.

In smaller groups, members exchanged ideas and actively contributed to planning the network's activities for 2024. We sincerely thank all members for their valuable contributions, energy, and commitment, which they bring in addition to their daily work at CirculaTUM.

The CirculaTUM Network Meeting marks a fantastic start to 2024. Together, we are building bridges for transparent and interdisciplinary collaboration for sustainability projects at TUM. Many thanks to all participants – we look forward to the shared successes in the new year!
