On the first day of the event, Lukas Wohlschläger from the Chair of Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics – fml represented us at the booth, presenting the K3I Cycling project, which focuses on AI-based optimization for the recycling of plastic packaging. Visitors to the CirculaTUM booth had the chance to explore various projects and workshop offerings from our members. Additionally, the CirculaTUM team had the opportunity to explore other booths and network with experts in one of the 12 crowded halls of the trade fair, connecting with professionals from areas such as injection molding, thermoforming, additive manufacturing, process engineering, materials and more.
Because of the fair's focus on Circular Economy and sustainability, topics like recycling of technical plastics, digital product passports, sorting technologies, and reverse logistics were central to the discussions. Through the intensive exchange with professionals and the diverse insights from the plastics industry, the team gained new inspiration for future Circular Economy projects. We are excited to further develop these in the upcoming time.
